A William III silver trefid spoon by John Sutton, London after 15th April 1697 (no date letter), engraved M*W to the back of the stem and later engraved with a monogram to the front, 20cm (8in) long, 50g (1.6oz) This Britannia standard maker's mark is the first entered in the largeworker's book and is awarded the distinction of a large ornamental script as 'present Touchwarden', He was Prime Warden in 1708.
