Good mahogany eight day longcase clock with five pillar movement, the 12" brass arched dial signed Wm. Smith, London on a shaped silvered plaque to the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, with strike/silent dial to the arch, the well figured mahogany case with long rounded arched door flanked by reeded and brass inlaid canted corners, the matching hood surmounted by a rounded moulded cornice and small caddy block with concave sides and central brass ball finial, 90" high (pendulum, two brass cased weights and keys)

** This clock was sold by Derek Roberts Antiques to the father of the current vendor and is sold with a purchase receipt from the dealers dated 29th January 1991 for £10,000; there is also a comprehensive description of the clock written by the company. This clock also appears in the book written by Derek Roberts - British Longcase Clocks, page 157, figure 204

The general condition of this clock is excellent with just expected wear and tear for age including some restored cracks to the side of the base, see images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible
