A Colt Navy 1851 model percussion revolver. With matching serial number 51122 for 1856, six round plain cylinder with rolling engraved Naval engagement scene, brass square back trigger guard, rosewood grip, octagonal barrel length 19cm stamped Address Saml Colt New York City. The mechanism does not cock, and the cylinder is jammed. The finish is generally good, the varnish on the grip is slightly rubbed/worn. The serial numbers match, however, the cylinder number is not visible, and there is no number on the wedge.
