An attractive early 20th century silk fan with double leaf, the recto painted with a cartouche of a maiden and her suitor, the two side vignettes each depicting an elegant fashionable lady in 18th century costume, wearing particularly elaborate hats, delicate floral reserves, sequin embroidery to each scene, the verso plain, guard approx. 19cm
In good used condition, with the verso silk just starting to split slightly on the folds. Some rubbing to the paint on the guards.
