KPM porcelain plaque decorated with a scene of art wins heart after a painting by friedrich paul thumann with a young woman watching a young mad decorating a pottery case. The plaque is set into a red velvet and gilded frame, the back of the plaque with incised scepter and capital KPM marks, signed wagner. the painting is by a german artist friedrich paul thumann 1834-1908 just like many other of his romantic paintings it became very popular and was widley reproduced on porcelain plaques plates and vases. the painting is called kunst bringt gunst or art wins heart.
