Edged weapons with 1. Japanese katana, 57cm blade with some marks from sharpening, plain tsuba, cloth binding, totem shaped menuki, some cracking to fishskin, replacement peg, wooden scabbard with black lacquering, binding by throat of scabbard, bottom piece of scabbard is detached, slight splitting to scabbard sides, thus fine. Stated by vendor to have been brought back from Far East at end of WW2 by an uncle who served on submarines.
2. German K98 bayonet and scabbard, ricasso marked Alcosa/Solingen & AW/S with scales, with leather frog, generally good very fine. BUYER MUCT COLLECT. (See photo) Qty 2 (B + ½B)
The binding covers one side of the peg and cannot be easily removed to examine the tang.
