A section (12 covers) deals with mail to/from Alsace both prior to and after the German annexation of 1871 inc. 1818 EL from Konigsberg to Bordeaux with boxed "Prusse/Par/Forbach" mark, 1823 EL from Mainz to Andlau, Bas-Rhin with red boxed "ALLEMAGNE/PAR/WEISSEMBOURG" & 1865 EL from Hungary to Reims with Strasbourg entry mark, etc. Collection includes a very fine range of mostly pre-stamp mail from Belgium to France, but also a trio of 1851-59 stamped covers.
