* Co. Sligo title page inscribed by, 'H.W. Gore-Booth Yatch 'Kara.' Sir Henry William Gore-Booth, 5th Baronet, landlord & Arctic explorer lived at Lissadel, Co. Sligo. He was a good friend of Arthur MacMorrough Kavanagh, of Borris & participated in some voyages to Norway with him. He was the father of Constance Gore-Booth, later Countess Markievicz, Republican leader and her sisters Eve, poet, & Mabel, & Mordaunt.
Binding tight. Fading to gilt with wear on top and bottom of spine. Fading to gilt decoration on front cover. Some staining to front and back end papers. Foxing to title page.
