FOUR 'CIVIL WAR' BULLETS

17th century, reputedly found at Arlescote, Edgehill; together with an accompanying 19th century handwritten note (5)

Provenance: The accompanying note states 'Bullets dug up in the Arlescote garden 1881, The Black one with another similar one near the Dog Kennnel, same spot as those found in 1879. Some had been previously found near the pond. The light coloured bullet was found near the Yew Tree Arbour, where several were found in former years'.
Thence by family descent.

Note: The Battle of Edgehill on Sunday 23rd October 1642 was the first major battle of the English Civil War.
