± K Fillingham Milliners A 'Scottrons Adjustable Mirror' Wall mounted swinging double mirror, ornate ironwork housing revolving wooden framed mirrors. Marked as Patd. 1866. Mirrors height: 46cm, full depth including iron work bracket 63cm. Designed by entrepreneur and inventor, Samuel R. Scottron, who was an important member of Brooklyn’s elite Black community. From the 1870s through 1894, he concentrated on inventions and secured a number of patents. - This lot will be subject to an additional VAT charge of 20% on the hammer price
