WW2 RAF condolence slip named to Flying Officer R.G. Allen & crushed Air Ministry medal box of issue addressed to G.O. Allen, Enton Green, Godalming. Richard Guy Allen was killed in action piloting a 38 Sqn Wellington bomber over Ostend on 11th September 1940, when at 0220 their plane was shot down by flak and crashed near the central railway station with the loss of all the crew and are buried in Oostende Communal Cemetery. With various copied research including Bomber Command Losses pages, death certificate, Sqn operations logs etc. Also some 7 black & white photos of the village war memorial with his details on. (R)
