F.R. & S., London an ebonised Georgian chiming bracket clock the eight-day duration, triple-fusee movement having a verge escapement, fully engraved backplate and chiming the quarters on a nest of 10 bells and the hour on a further bell with the shaped seven-inch silvered brass dial having a raised silvered chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, the centre having a date aperture and engraved decoration, with the arch having two subsidiary dials for Chime/Not Chime and tune selection Lass of the Hill/A Minuet/A Song/An Air, with a silvered plaque set between engraved F.R & S., London, the ebonised case with ormolu mounts to the canted sides, surmounted by a caddy top with five cast finials and all standing on cast foliate feet, height 62cm.
