CHARACENE KINGDOM.   Mag'a, son of Astabiaz (Attambelos), circa 195-210CE, AE Tetradrachm, 26mm, 15.86g, minted at the capital, Charax-Spasinu, obverse; bearded bust right, wearing Parthian style close-fitting headdress, Aramaic legend to left and right, reverse; bearded bust right, with long hair, legend around; "MAGha ZI ASTABIAZ MaLKA", cf.M-734 & 735 (Michael Mitchiner, "Oriental Coins and their Values; The Ancient & Classical World 600 B.C.-A.D. 650," Hawkins Publications, 1978), VF, light surface corrosion.
