A worksplate, VULCAN FOUNDRY, 5148, 1944, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0, built by Vulcan to Ministry of Supply order in October 1944, WD No 79205. In store at time of purchase by BR in December 1949, becoming 90673. Its sheds were Wakefield and Nomanton from where it was withdrawn in March 1964 and sold for scrap to Looms at Spondon. Cast brass, 9½"x5¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
