A collection of four 19th Century Wedgwood dust pressed 6 inch tiles circa 1880, from the Gastronomic Homilies series, possibly by Thomas Allen, each transfer printed in blue with a roundel containing a motto and a related image, comprising 'fly the pleasure that bites tomorrow', 'the circles of our felicities make strong arches', 'let another mans shipwreck be your seamark', and 'he laughs at scars that never felt a wound', embossed marks. (4)

Generally these tiles are all a little tired and scruffy with age related wear and crazing with some nibbles and chips etc
