A worksplate, LMS BUILT 1944 HORWICH. Locos built by the LMS at Horwich in 1944 were all Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 Nos 8338-81 which became BR 48338-81. Cast iron, 10¼"x6", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
