BLUE "10d/TO PAY" MARK ON COVER FROM FRANCE VIA SUEZ & CEYLON: 25 Nov. 1867 EL (very fragile inside, tears on folds) from Nantes to Port Louis (30 Dec. backstamp) endorsed "Via Suez & Ceylon/Paquebot anglais" with blue "10d/TO PAY" finely struck on the front (slightly over Nantes cds & address), this mark seemingly predating Proud's ERD (30/12/1867; UP30, p.259).
