An extremely well made white metal painted figure of a bugler of the 17th Lancers in Boer War uniform, well painted and modelled, 7" x 6½" including wooden plinth displaying "Death or Glory" emblem to sides. Mounted in a glass domed display case this figure replicates an accompanying original framed black and white watercolour signed "R. Caton Woodville 1899" (18½"x 15¾") window mount entitled "Boer War Cavalry Bugler by R Caton Woodville 1899"; also included in this lot "With the Flag to Pretoria Part 1 with large coloured map" which displays this Caton Woodville sketch as it's front cover illustration. VGC and GC (model bridle needs slight attention, watercolour with a little foxing) £150-250
