A rare Swiss quatre-revolver cylinder musical box, late 19th century
With a sectional 148 tooth comb, playing on four interchangeable revolving 33.5cm cylinders, in an inlaid walnut case with front viewing window, fitted with ormolu handles, no tune sheet present,
88 x 36cm, 38cm high.

More Information

Seemingly working well, all teeth of comb a present, in generally good, clean condition internally. The lid of the case has suffered some shrinkage with some filler repair to the underside where the walnut veneer has cracked and where the lid has shrunk the clasp to the underside has been moved forward slightly so it still fits the lock.
