A CHARLES II OAK COFFER, CIRCA 1660. Having a triple-panelled lid, the front with three panels, each carved with a flowering thistle stem, within painted dog-tooth and ebonized run-moulded rails, the top rail leafy-carved, with scroll carved spandrels, 128cm wide, 57cm deep, 73cm high.
