A GOOD GEORGE III MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE CHEST, IN THE MANNER OF WILLIAM VILE, CIRCA 1775, the waterfall raised super structure with a serpentine top and fret pierced galleried tiers, the lower section with a fall front, modelled as two drawers, opening to reveal a leather inset compartmented interior, raised on four long drawers and shaped  bracket feet

Excellent overall appearance
The lower shelf has a 10 cm area of the fretwork gallery damaged with some areas detached and not present
Surface marks and scratches, with some deeper scratches to the side panel and the arch top
Fall front section, opens, closes and locks without a problem.
Some surface splits around the hinges
