Property of a gentleman - an unusual early 19th century Regency period mahogany spindle bucket, with brass liner, high. Footnote - an almost identical bucket with provenance to Norman Adams was sold at Christie's, London, 14th May 2003, lot 52 (£ 6,000 hammer price), and, more recently, another almost identical example was sold at Dreweatts, Newbury, 5th September 2023, lot 114 (£ 2,800 hammer price).
