Three 19th century fans, the first advertising the Casino Municipal at Boulogne-sur- Mer, featuring a view of the beach and harbour, a lady in traditional costume seated to the left, next to a basket of fish, and the blazon and crown of the town, the printed leaf attributed to the Papeterie Universelle, Lyon, the verso showing a full view of the Casino and other local landmarks, guar approx. 24.5cm: together with a tan wood brisé fan, the fourteen inner sticks carved and pierced and painted with forget-me-nots and leaves, guard approx. 23cm; and a dance card fan, the sticks of slightly shiny card which would allow pencil annotation, the paper leaf printed with a stylized design, in silver, guard approx. 24cm (3)
