A late 18c English pair cased verge pocket watch, the movement signed Wm. Hinstock, London and having baluster pillars and a well pierced and chased balanced cock. The white enamel dial has Roman numerals and Arabic outer 5 minute numbers and has beetle and poker hands. the gold case is hallmarked for 1780 and the outer silver gilt case is embossed with a domestic scene. It is attached to an elaborate silver gilt chatelaine on which hang a watch key and a seal. 5cms dia.

In clean and running order. Both dial and glass are good and undamaged as is the inner case. there is some rubbing to the embossed scene on the rear of the outer case. Chatelaine is in good order.
