An early Victorian needlework sampler, dated 1844, worked with coloured threads on a linen ground, with religious motto set within a strawberry border, signed 'Sarah Allward her work, aged twelve years, March the 1. 1844', in a later glazed frame, together with two 19thC Alphabet Samplers, unframed, one dated 1830 or 1880 also with a religious motto, 41cm x 29cm, the other dated 1890, 50cm x 19cm, by Mary Elizabeth Allward and Sarah Allward respectively (3)
