1871 (24 Mar) envelope from Graaf-Reinet to Funchal, Madeira, bearing 1d (5 - incl. a vertical strip of five affixed sideways with one affixed over left edge of envelope and with one defective) and 4d (3, one with bend), all clearly cancelled by barred numeral '18' showing despatch, Cape Town (30.3) and arrival (1.5) d/stamps plus '150' accountancy h/stamp. A rare & attractive franking.
