A 17th century oak carved coffer. The front panels with period carving of coiled serpents, height 55cm width 129cm depth 51cm.
The strap hinges are replacements, there are two strengthening battens applied to the underside of the lid, which is marked and stained. One of the baseboards is loose, otherwise just general wear and tear.
