with two three part tiers named after the authors - Goethe, Thiers, Schiller, Irwing and Hugo, the lower tier - Pope, Lessing, Rousseau, Klopstock, Swift and Racine, with fluted column and standing on a tripod base carved with lion's masks and lion's paw feet,

Overall of a dark reddish brown oak tone, with some light wear to the top of the book divisions but otherwise looking to be in good order, the L and the K from Klopstock have small sections missing, no other faults noted.
