1850-52 Entires from Vienna to London, the first paid in cash, the second with an Austria 6kr stamp on reverse (torn through upon opening), differing Wien Recommandirt datestamps, the first with red "Franco" and the second with boxed "Franco" and "RECOM", both with "(crown) / REGISTERED" (Jay 1132/a) in black or red, the 1850 letter also with a similar handstamp with larger crown (Jay 1131a). Jay states, "handstamp type 1132 was used on letters carried by the Coln-Verviers T.P.O and is now thought to be a continental handstamp used on letters to Britain". (2).
