An Extremely Rare Yue-type Incised Ewer, Five dynasties/Northern Song dynasty the melon-shaped body vertically delineated by ribs to create eight panels, incised on each panel with a stylised cloud scroll, the long waisted neck decorated with three incised lines at the bottom, flanked by small loop handles, the curved spout set opposite to the handle, below the flared rim, all supported on a short slightly flaring foot, applied overall in a thin light-green glaze pooling to a deeper colour in the recesses, the underside with spur marks H:28.5cm
Relatively good condition, a small chip restored at rim
