Rare WW1 Military Medal & 2 bars (loose on ribbon) to 681546 Sjt P.J. Tracey 1/22 Lond R. minor edge contact marks, very fine. Patrick Joseph Tracey's MM was announced in the London Gazette dated 13th November 1918, First Bar was announced in the London Gazette dated 11th February 1919 and Second Bar was announced in the London Gazette dated 14th May 1919. With original 1942 war Office letter confirming awards and dates of MM and Bars and Certificate on Demobilization (this in 4 pieces).
With 8 copied pages of service record, he was living in Bermondsey when enlisted 4/5/15, landed France 28/10/15, promoted L/Sgt 26/11/17, A W.O. Cl 2 1/9/18, discharged 1/2/19. Only 180 2nd award bars issued in WW1. Also with 4 WW2 swing mounted miniatures. Sold on behalf of the family, never before on the market. (See photo) (R)
