A large Minton Secessionist jardiniere, circa 1900-10, pattern no. 15, tubelined with stylised red and orange leaves against a green ground, printed marks, 36.5cm diameter, 35.5cm high (hairlines) Condition:Three hairline cracks descend from the upper rim, one of which has an associated small interior chip and loss of glaze. Crazing to the glaze throughout the body. There is a splodge of white paint near the rim, and it is unclear if this is an attempt at restoring a chip or if it was an accident. Two further hairline cracks to the underside foot rim/lower portion of the body. It is in need of a good cleaning, and it has obviously been used as an exterior plant pot. The tublining looks to be in good condition, and the piece still displays nicely, but there are some noticeable scratches on the red panels.
