James Henderson, Edinburgh, an 18ct gold open-faced pocket watch, the single fusee movement having a verge escapement, engraved balance cock with gold balance and signed on the backplate James Henderson, 29 South Bridge, Edinburgh, the engraved gold dial with black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds hand, the case with engine-turned decoration to the edge and hallmarked 18ct gold, Sheffield 1881, diameter 48mm, total weight ca. 106.7gms. * James Henderson is recorded working from before 1865 until at least 1900 being at 29 South Bridge by 1880.
