An early 20th century Continental silver and tortoiseshell box, with inset miniature handpainted portrait lid, engraved foliate decoration with gilt interior, import marks of British Commerical Transport Co Ltd, hallmarks London 1927, 8 x 6cm, 3.1oz
No damage or repair, tortoiseshell only has light surface abrasions, miniature portraits have some light surface wear, hinge working and lid closes flush with body, gilding very slightly faded, import hallmarks clear.
