PEACE ILLUSTRATED ENVS. - VALENTINE DESIGN PROOFS & REPRODUCTIONS: Trio of proofs for the unissued Valentine "Peace" design in black, blue or carmine. Also reproduction envs. (3) featuring the same design inc. 29 May 1952 env. printed by Cheveley, Wilson & Co with inscription reading "Cheveley, Wilson & Co., DESIGNED & ENGRAVED BY J. VALENTINE DUNDEE 63 & 64, Chancery Lane, London" at bottom of front, used from Torquay to Nottingham franked KGVI 2½d red cancelled by Torquay machine cancel, with blue "BRUGGE BELGIE" label on reverse, the sole known recorded used copy; plus c.1950 unused envs. (2) printed on grey or cream wove paper featuring the same design & inscription.
