Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) - a Chinese porcelain dragon dish: four-clawed dragon in underglaze blue flying through stylised clouds to attain the flaming sacred pearl of wisdom; the long scaly body and tail of the dragon painted and continuing on the underside of the dish with further stylised clouds flanking; apocryphal square mark within concentric circles and circular foot with unglazed edge. (16 cm in diameter)
* Condition: Two small chips and five hairline cracks to rim. Another long hairline across the interior of the bowl, below the dragon's head - this is also visible to the underside of the bowl.
