PRESS PHOTOGRAPHY, Principally documenting daily life for Germans during Surrender and Occupation, circa 1945-46. Approximately 121 black-and-white photographs by various agencies, such as the Associated Press and Keystone, in sizes up to 21cm x 15cm, with printed captions on the verso. Subjects, amongst many others, include: • "Slave workers fighting over looted foot" • Berlin's Black Market re-appears • Nazi books being returned by German schoolboys and other 're-education' lessons • Elderly people volunteering to re-build Dresden • Queuing for rations and hunger demonstrations • Civilians surrendering weapons • Russian rule beyond the 'Iron Curtain' • Post-war reconstruction and occupying forces and more (approximately 121)
