An Edwardian 1846 Pattern Naval Sabre by Galt & Son, c.1900s, the fullered blade etched with crowned royal arms, a crowned fouled anchor and scrolling foliage, maker's mark 'GALT Naval & Regimental Tailor PORTSMOUTH', the gilded hilt with lion's head pommel, wire-bound white fishskin grip, folding side guard and crowned (St Edward's crown) fouled anchor, the black leather scabbard with two brass mounted sections, the locket with two suspension rings and maker's plaque. Blade 79.5cm long, approx. 95cm overall
