Taxidermy: A Leopard Skin Rug (Panthera pardus fusca), early 20th century, an adult flat skin rug with limbs outstretched, head to end of tail 208cm.
Provenance; Our vendors grandfather emigrated to India in the early 1900's and established a hardware business, then by descent.
CITES Annex A Appendix II, exempt - this specimen would require a re-export license to export from the UK, an import permit would be required into your chosen country, this is the responsibility of the buyer alone, Spicers Auctioneers do not offer any onward re-export or import licences.

More Information

There is no visible moth damage, but there is fraying and wear to the paws.
The fur is flat and worn.
There is no significant odour, other than dust from age and storage.
There is discolouration to the underside of the rug.
