1965 Pictorial definitive issue, unadopted stamp size essays for the unissued 5d value (2) depicting Modern Dairying, and the 2/6 value (2) depicting Shipbuilding (the issued 2/6 depicting aircraft). The essays all with handpainted backgrounds (including perforations and country name, value and "Modern Dairying" on the 5d essays, "Postage" and "Revenue" on the 2/6 essays), printed cut out proofs of the vignettes and Queen's head applied, all in differing colours, the Queens Head on the 5d essay the same portrait used in the adopted designs. The 2/6 essays with the value and "Shipbuilding" handpainted on the central vignette, all with a handpainted black surround, affixed to card bearing a label "Designed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co.
