Framed and glazed
The picture is framed under glass and has not been removed for inspection. The paint surface shows no obvious signs of damage or restoration. The colours appear strong and bright, but may have faded somewhat over time. There are some small gold coloured flecks near the mount in the lower left quadrant (possibly residue from the mount itself). The frame is structurally sound, but shows evidence of overpainting, the odd small chip to the moulded edges and surface wear throughout.
