WW2 1939-1945, France and Germany Stars and BWM attributed to 1527265 Sgt Wilfred Freeman 605 Sqn RAF, nearly mint. With Air Ministry box of issue addressed to M.G. Freeman, 26 Melbourne Rd, Aspley, Nottingham, Air Council condolence transmittal slip to Sergeant W. Freeman and large original photo of original grave marker next to his pilot/navigator F/L John Andrews.
He died on 26th September 1944 during an intruder mission flying a Mosquito with 605 Sqn, where it is thought they were shot down by flak and is buried in Sage War Cemetery, Germany. (R)
