c.1965 Royal Enfield Continental GT Project, 248cc. Registration number, not registered. Frame number 70024. Engine number GT 1687.
This engine was dispatched from the factory on the 6th October 1965 going to E.S. Motors of London W4. Sold with a pair of chromed rims.
Our vendor states, "it's a good genuine complete GT frame , swinging arm and seat carrier ( I believe January 1965 to Comerford's motorcycles Thames Dutton this can be easily checked with owners club ) with new powder coating ,lots of new fixings, original forks ,top yoke, later 1965 GT crankcases, fully refurbished original shockers which cost more than modern replacements , new stand complete with new bush and fixings and the tank is in good condition just needs seal and repaint , the rechromed rims ( although not brilliant are original from a GT )".
Buyers should satisfy themselves as to the completeness of this project. Sold with a tax disc and receipt for £25 for a R.E. 250cc, registration number RYM 830E which is recorded with DVLA as a 1967 bike.
