A PAIR OF COALPORT CHINA VASES AND COVERS, c.1900, of slender ovoid form with ram's mask handles, painted in polychrome enamels by F.H. Chivers with still life of fruits on a mossy banking within raised gilded scroll panels on a gilt highlighted cobalt blue ground within ecru rim, signed, printed mark in green, retailed by Townsend of Newcastle, inscribed 7540/2nd 171, 9 1/2" high, together with a 1972 Art & Antiques magazine with a full page colour advert by Traub and invoice dated 1972 for £460 (Pr. & 1) (Est. plus 24% premium inc.
