AN 1831 PATTERN FRENCH ARTILLERY SHORT SWORD AND SCABBARD. With a 48cm double edged pointed blade with central spine, stamped Pihet Freres, to the other side 'Chatellerault 183'. With brass handle and cross piece numbered 7 and with two stars. In a brass mounted leather scabbard numbered 367. This model closely based on the Roman Gladius design. 65cm overall. *CR Generally i good condition with light surface marks.
