A GEM-SET AND CULTURED PEARL CHOKER NECKLACE The tapered openwork plaque centring an oval-shaped yellowish-orange sapphire, within a border of brilliant-cut diamonds and carved mother-of-pearl bands, further set with baguette-cut diamonds, suspended from a wide woven cultured pearl necklace, enhanced by emerald beads, to an oval-shaped clasp similarly set, mounted in 18K gold, indistinct Italian registry mark, with maker’s case signed David Morris, retailed by David Morris, length 39cm, width 2.2cm

Sapphire: yellowish-orange, transparent, a few typical inclusions and minor surface scratches visible under 10 x magnification, estimated to weigh approximately 2.60-2.80 carats Diamonds bright and lively Mother-of-pearl with light surface scratches Cultured pearls well matched, measuring approximately 4.8 x 4.8mm, of white tone with pink overtones Emeralds of light-medium green hue, with typical inclusions visible and some with fractures reaching the surface, minor cavities Stamped 750 and 18K and indistinct Italian registry mark Clasp closes securely, however, one yellow cabochon sapphire set on the clasp mechanism is deficient and might need to be replaced Areas of discolouration to metal surfaces on reverse Normal signs of wear, overall in good condition Total gross weight approx. 74g Case with normal signs of wear, stamped David Morris London
