£600
1875 (Feb 22) Cover to England franked 8a cancelled by a large diamond of horizontal bars (Cooper type 12b), backstamped with black semi-circular District Post handstamp dated in manuscript (the place name unclear but apparently ending "....TE"), datestamps of Madras and Bombay. This dumb type diamond obliterator presumably a District Post cancel, though Renouf suggests it may be a railway cancel.
