Plus 10 Dec. 1858 EL to Scotland franked 6d Lilac wing margin, small stain and wrinkle just tied by 'G' cancel with Gibraltar cds and Scottish "CR" (Caledonian Railway) h.s. on front and London and Forres cds on rear. Lot also incl. pair of Soldiers' letters i.e. 17 Aug 1893 env (faults) to GB with 1889 10c carmine tied by fine duplex endorsed 'No. 3723 Lee Cpl H Cooper F Coy. 1st Middlesex Regiment' and red FOREST GATE cds on back. Plus 26 Dec 1898 env franked with 1898 1d carmine tied by mostly fine duplex and LONDON cds on back, this being the second day of Universal Penny Postage. Scarce pair. (4 covers)
