Good large French ornate repeater carriage clock with alarm, striking with two hammers on a gong, the movement back plate bearing the trademark maker's initials E.M & Co. within an oval and numbered 219, the 2.25" black chapter ring enclosing a silvered centre over the subsidiary alarm dial, both within an intricate mask pierced with cornucopia and eagles heads amidst scrolling foliage, with stylised silvered pierced foliate filigree designs to the side and top, within a stepped fluted pillared case, 8.5" high
