A cased .38” rimfire Woodward’s patent double barrelled over and under turnover pistol, number 774, 4½” overall, barrels 2¼ with Birmingham proofs and traces of blued finish; silver plated frame engraved in oval panel “Woodward’s Regd. Feby.4. 1863 No 774”; with sheath trigger, top safety catch, and chequered walnut grips. Good Working Order and Condition; in its fitted blue baize lined mahogany case, walnut veneered lid with shield and scroll escutcheon, containing a pewter oil bottle and key to the case. Plate 15
